What does it mean? How can a gift that make someone frustrated also make someone happy? Well, this idea actually comes out when I suddenly remembered what happened to one of my friend many years ago.

It was Christmas celebration and everybody was exchanging gifts. So one of my friend received a gift which is nicely wrapped. Then she started unwrapping it. She thought she could see the gift after removing the wrapper. What did she see? Another wrapper. Not only another but one after another. The gift was wrapped with many gift wrapper including newspaper. She was frustrated at that time cause it took her quite a lot of time just to see what it was inside. Well, the story stopped here. (Cause I have forgotten what she received. Hahaha).

To make someone who wants to open the gift, you may do this. You can also use newspaper as the wrapper to make someone think that the gift is a very ordinary gift. But to make someone happy, you should gift the content inside a very special thing, perhaps a DIAMOND RING. Hahaha.

This trick seems to be an old-fashioned one, but it does work when you give it wholeheartedly. But if you give something very precious, don't make it until the receiver over-frustrated until he/she throws away the gift. If so, your effort to make him/her happy will go in vain. So, consider before you do.

My electric drill for gift-making

Gift maker will certainly need decorative items to beautify every gift he/she has made. One of the most common things that make a gift beautiful is the gift box. And for this purpose, a gift maker should have tools for making the gift box as unique as possible.

I'm not going to tell you about how to make a gift box on this post. But I'd like to tell you that if you want to create a unique gift box, sometimes you need an electric drill to make holes, especially on hard cardboard or triplex board.

Some gift boxes are form up by tying ribbon on six boards of which the holes are made. This means that you first make holes on the six boards (because a box has 6 sides - top, bottom, front, back, left and right side). Each board can have 4 holes. 2 on the left and two on the right.

This way of forming a box is mainly aimed at gift that is not too heavy ( I mean some light-weighted gift). Another purpose of making this kind of box is to give the gift receiver a chance to guess the gift inside, because the receiver will have to untie the ribbons which hold the box together.

Well, you can try your creativity with making holes on board and tie them together to form the box in another way. But remember to buy an electric drill first and also be careful when using the drill!

Accessories for gift box decoration

Sweet gift is every gift receiver wishes for. But to make a DIY sweet gift, probably could be a little hard for someone who has never made any gifts. If you want to give someone a simple gift, but want to make it special, you can simple put some effort on the gift box, wrapper and decoration. The gift inside maybe simple, or even not DIY. The DIY gift doesn't have to be all parts of the gift. Making some effort on the gift box, wrapper or even put some decoration on the wrapper is also a good and easy DIY.

Decoration DIY, one can go around the mall or shopping centre looking for some accessories, like hair clips with decorations. Just remove the hair clips and paste the decorations on the wrapper or gift box. These decorations from hair clips won't cost you much. I have ever bought some hello kitty hair clips for making some DIY gifts which I put on the gift box together with pink ribbon. I used pink ribbon for that gift, because it matches the box color which is pink and also the decoration that I took off from the hair clip. So, now try make your own DIY gift.
