Here's a Japanese Gift Box DIY video about making a photo gift box from a Pringles potato chips can. You will learn how to make it by pasting your photo on the recycled can and then putting the ribbon on the top of the can. It really looks nice as a gift box for your dearest one. This "Photo Gift Recycled Can" can also be used for stationery holder like pens and pencils. You can use it as a gift box for necktie or mini perfume, jewelry, etc.

Surprise Gift in a Big Big Box
Anybody would love to receive a surprise gift rather than a plainly given gift. People sometimes relate surprise to sincerity. And thus, some people keep on thinking or searching on the internet for new surprise gift idea. Actually, this post is about a surprise that's hidden in a box, a big big box.
What surprise can you put in a big big box? Well, it's very simple indeed. I bet you know it already. It's giving yourself to your beloved one on his/her birthday. This is also an old trick. Hide yourself in a big box and have it wrapped beautifully. Ask your best friend to push this gift in front of your dearest one. Then when you are in front of him/her, jump out surprisingly. Make sure that this gift is done with some friends that you trust, or you might into trouble when they play pranks on you instead. And also think carefully, as this surprise gift may also make weak-hearted person fainted.
Now, you know what surprise gift is inside a big big box. Are you still going to give this surprise gift?

Surprise Gift with a Balloon
Do you always want to add surprise into the gift that you send out? Sometimes you need to think for a surprise. Browsing through the internet is a way of getting new idea of giving surprises. You can put a little surprise in your gift box.
Well, I have thought it long ago for a surprise gift. It's very simple though. You need a balloon which is filled with hydrogen gas so that it can fly when you don't hold it. Fill the balloon with gas and then tie it with a card (i.e. birthday card or whatever card you want according to the occasion). Why do we need to tie the balloon to a card? I bet you can guess what I'm gonna tell you.
After finishing the balloon and the card, all you have to do is to put it in a box. Of course put your real gift into the box first. Hold the gift with adhesive tape, so that it won't move inside the box. Then put the balloon with card into the box. Close the box.
Now, you should know what I mean. When the receiver opens up the box, the balloon will fly out of the box and the card will be seen later. Make sure that it doesn't fly up to the sky or you'll cry. Ha... ha... ha...
I believe this is a little surprise to the one who receives the gift. Remember that the air inside the balloon will vanish slowly, so make sure that it won't take too long for the gift to reach the receiver's hand. It's always better to pass the gift personally, so you can see the surprise expression from the face. Surprise oh surprise!

My electric drill for gift-making

I'm not going to tell you about how to make a gift box on this post. But I'd like to tell you that if you want to create a unique gift box, sometimes you need an electric drill to make holes, especially on hard cardboard or triplex board.
Some gift boxes are form up by tying ribbon on six boards of which the holes are made. This means that you first make holes on the six boards (because a box has 6 sides - top, bottom, front, back, left and right side). Each board can have 4 holes. 2 on the left and two on the right.
This way of forming a box is mainly aimed at gift that is not too heavy ( I mean some light-weighted gift). Another purpose of making this kind of box is to give the gift receiver a chance to guess the gift inside, because the receiver will have to untie the ribbons which hold the box together.
Well, you can try your creativity with making holes on board and tie them together to form the box in another way. But remember to buy an electric drill first and also be careful when using the drill!
